Okay so I am a little late this week in my blog posting. But I am determined not to be a slacker. So here is a fun day we had at the park. We played basketball and I was so sore the next day..hahaha. Shanlin had some friends and they all made birds nest.

Okay so one of my new years resolutions is to do better at writing in my Journal. I used to do so well, but then of course we get busy and out of the habit. So anyway we have as a family every sunday been writing in our Journals. So I thought along with that I am going to try to blog once a week. I'm not great at scrapbooking so I thought this is the next best thing. So here we go.

This week Shanlin had her first basketball game and did very well. She is very aggressive and not shy of the ball at all. She is still learning the game of course but that will like everything else take time.

All the kids love the ipod touch and fight about it all the time. I think Taiven might have a little o.c.d. Hopefully not to bad.

We had a pizza party for Doug this year! It is his favorite food. We made homemade pizza and made a cake decorated like a pizza. We had so much fun getting ready for this short lived party. We teased Doug and told him this was his cake.

Taiven ate so much Pizza it knocked him out....lol. seriously don't know what he is doing but he laid like this for about 5 minutes. Silly Boy.

This wonderful little oasis in the desert is so much fun and just what the kids needed this hot summer day. Lucky for us it wasn't to hot. Taiven & Tessa both got in once and hated it. Shanlin on the other hand had a blast. We got together for my nephew Dee's birthday who turned 15!! Crazy how fast time flys. It was a lot of fun hanging with the fam. Two of my sisters Shay and Misti were there and there kids. Tessa was torturing Kendyl with a hair brush, but all in all a great day. Thanks Misti can't wait to do it again.

School Wall

So what to do with that that wonderful stuff your kids bring home from school, hand made crafts and cut outs, special little drawings and wonderful work. Well I had a thought that "stuff" should be displayed for all to see and the kids to feel so proud of there accomplishments. So we started an art gallery in our
hallway each girl had a wall. Here are some fun pics we took right before we took it down.

So I went to Girls Camp for 4 days and had so much fun!! While I was gone Doug took great care of the kids and they all had a blast. Shanlin said "Dad, I didn't know you could be this much fun".

When I returned home the house was spotless clean and all the kids were clean and they had made me a welcome home cake. So sweet I love my family so much. What a wonderful hubby I have.

Fort Time

We made a fort in the Living Room the other day and played sleepover. It was a lot of fun except for the fact that Taiven kept tearing it down.lol oh well thats what I get for having a boy.

Okay so my poor blog. How neglected you have been. I will try to do better! Life has been busy wonderful crazy. My photography has really taken off and what a blessing it has been. I have loved every minute and can't wait to see what the new year brings. My kids are all one year older with my oldest SHANLIN who just turned 6. It really makes you realize how fast these first few years just fly by. Oh how I love the fun things she does. I think everyday I enjoy my kids a little more. Anyway enough jabber, here are a few pics from the past few months to catch up.

First Day of School!!!!

I can't believe I have a Kindergartner. Shanlin has official entered into the world of peer pressure, cooties and homework. Now I have Shanlin gone for 2 1/2 hours and Tessa gone for 3 hours. I must admit I do miss the freedom of coming and going, but on the other hand I finally get a break yay! Okay so here are some fun moments of the first day, me in the long line of moms chasing behind there school go'ers. FUN TIMES.

We had a great 4th of July this year. We had a lot of fun camping, swimming in Yuba Lake and hanging out with our cousins. It was really good to see everyone it had been far to long. Thanks everyone for the fun times.

Mothers Day

I know I am a little behind in my blogging but I just wanted to say what a great mothers day I had. My husband is amazing!!!! Okay so I woke up to a wonderful breakfast of german pancakes and then each of the kids surprised me with a present. Shanlin gave me a pretty ring, Taiven gave me a necklace because he likes to grab on to it and Tessa gave me another beautiful ring. We went to a wonderful church session and I then got in a nap. Thanks to my great kids and oh so thoughtful husband. Thanks guys!

When Taiven was learning to crawl he went threw a faze where he would us his head to sit up from his stomach. So then one day he discovered that he can do something even better......a headstand. (not to be tried in the bath)

We were waiting for the bus so I decided to get Tessa doing some of her signs, at the time we were learning colors. She's not that great at talking yet but she can do about 80 signs.

Our Snow Day

I am a little behind in my blogging.... But we had so much fun when we went in March to Brian Head and had a snow day. We got to sled for about 2 hours straight and it was a blast. Tessa even rode in her own sled and loved it. We could hear her scream (happy scream) the whole way down the hill. Even our Dog stamps went and joined in the fun.

Top 10 things I love about my husband

1. He always puts me first
2. He feeds me.....really good food.
3. He listens to my crazy ideas, and supports me in my crazy ideas.

Here are some fun kandids of my adorable kids.
Tessa said blanket today very well, I was so impressed. She is so much fun. She crawls into bed with me and pretends to snore it's so cute.

Taiven is getting so big and is now 9 months old. I can't believe how fast time flys. He started waiving hi and signing more. He loves to talk and says mama and da da all the time.

Our sweet Shanlin, she has such a sweet spirit. I wasn't feeling very well the other day so Shanlin made me breakfast and wrote me the sweetest card, "Mom I hope get well faster than no time and I love you so much. I love you more than anything! I love you more than reaching to the sky all the way to the clouds. I love you more than a balloon. One thing I don't love you more than is my family and you. I hope you get better and if you want one of my stuffed animals come and ask me. I love you. Love Shanlin."

Okay so I am gonna brag for a few minutes.
My adorable child Tessa is going threw a new faze right now. She loves to sing and even though she can barley talk, it's the cutest thing I think I have ever heard. She loves primary songs and of course Barney. We have started a course for potty training and have made a consistent week at it. She also is now in a toddler bed and just tonight I went into her room only to find her sleeping in the middle of her floor. (I almost stepped on her) I am really enjoying her right now and see some hope that things are moving in the right direction.

OUR TRIP TO DISNEYLAND

We had lunch with the Princesses at Ariels Grotto. Shanlin was in her glory, dressed as sleeping beauty she dined and danced with Cinderella, Aurora, Jasmine, Ariel and Snow White. Tessa loved the food and Taiven even had some fun.

Tessa

What can I say, our lives have truly been blessed with the gift of our little Tessa. Here is my darling three year old Tessa waiting for the bus. She goes to Pre School and absolutely loves it. Her teacher says she is the light of her class. She is such a sweet heart. She is doing really well and communicates mostly thru sign. She can sign almost anything, and if she can't she is very persistent in getting you to understand what she wants. She loves her daddy and rides on the ranger. We enjoy everyday with our Tessa.

TAIVEN DOUGLAS

Our newest addition! Taiven came to us on July 7th. He was a healthy 8pds 10 ounce's. He is almost four months and already weighs 16 pds. He is our best baby by far and is so happy. He loves his sisters and any attention he can get. We blessed our baby boy on the 19th of Oct. It was a good day and all went well.

SHANLIN

Here is our wonderful energetic five year old. Shanlin is an amazing little girl with a huge heart. She recently became the proud owner of a puppy, that she loves. She also is a big sister, and a great one at that. She loves to hold Taiven and even puts him to sleep sometimes.

Shanlin is in pre school and learning to read she even knows how to spell her name. She loves princesses and wants to be sleeping beauty for halloween. She thinks she is a real princess and gets sad if someone tells her she's not.
